Educational Content Disclaimer
1. Preamble / Introduction §
The purpose of this Disclaimer is to explain, in clear language, what the Content is (education) and what it is not (professional advice), and how you may use it responsibly within your organization. It is intended to be read together with the Terms. In case of conflict between this Disclaimer and the Terms, the Terms prevail.
2. No Professional Advice §
All Content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute and should not be relied upon as legal, financial, technical, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, investment, or other professional advice.
The Content does not create a lawyer–client, consultant–client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between you and EthicaLogic d.o.o. You should seek advice from qualified professionals (e.g., licensed attorneys, security engineers, compliance officers) for your specific circumstances. Any decisions you take based on the Content are taken at your own risk. To obtain tailored advice, a separate services agreement with EthicaLogic d.o.o. is required.
3. “As Is” and No Warranties §
The Content is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
4. Limitation of Liability §
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EthicaLogic d.o.o. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost profits, lost data, business interruption, loss of reputation, product failures, or legal/expert costs, arising out of or in connection with use of or reliance on the Content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
If any limitation above is held invalid, our aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Content shall not exceed EUR 100. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (e.g., liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence). If you are a consumer, any mandatory consumer rights under EEA or Slovenian law remain unaffected.
5. User’s Responsibility and Acknowledgment of Risk §
You are solely responsible for how you access, interpret, adapt, and apply the Content in your specific context. You agree to:
- Assess risks independently and validate applicability against your product, data flows, markets, and regulatory exposure;
- Treat numbers, thresholds, SLAs, and timelines in the Content as illustrative starting points, not definitive norms;
- Treat templates (including letters, document clauses, and checklists) as examples for discussion and drafting with your advisors, not as ready-to-use legal documents;
- Obtain appropriate internal approvals and independent professional advice before implementing any measure suggested by the Content.
6. Intellectual Property §
All intellectual property rights in and to the Content are and remain the property of EthicaLogic d.o.o. You may quote or reference limited portions of the Content for non-commercial, internal, or academic purposes with clear attribution and a link to our website. Full copying, resale, public redistribution, or the creation of derivative commercial products from the Content is prohibited without our prior written permission.
7. General Provisions §
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction. This Disclaimer and any dispute relating to the Content are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ljubljana, without prejudice to any mandatory venue rules that may apply.
- Severability. If any provision of this Disclaimer is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will remain in full force and effect.
- Language & Precedence. We may provide translations for convenience; in the event of discrepancies, the English version controls. This Disclaimer supplements the Terms; if there is a conflict, the Terms control.
